chrome extension
add Pinterest pins to an ixi canvas with one click from Pinterest itself.
The ixi — Add to canvas extension puts an ixi button on every Pinterest pin. Click it, pick a canvas, and the picture or video lands there as a node.
sign in
The extension reuses your ixi session. If you're signed in at ixi.so in Chrome, you're signed in to the extension. Click its toolbar icon to see:
| Status | Meaning |

| signed out | Sign in to ixi opens the sign-in page |
| pending | your account is still on the waitlist; saving pins unlocks once approved |
| offline | ixi can't be reached; Retry |
add a pin
- Open Pinterest and hover a pin.
- Click the ixi mark at the bottom right of the pin (its tooltip reads Add to canvas).
- Search or pick a canvas from the list. Projects come first, then canvases, with your most recently used at the top. <kbd>Esc</kbd> closes it.
- The pin shows Added to your canvas with an open link.
The node is a file node placed to the right of what's already there, so repeated adds form a row. Video pins arrive as video. If a video is too large, you get its poster picture instead. The pin's source page is kept with the file.
limits & good to know
- It only runs on pinterest.com.
- Pins are saved in their largest available size and copied into ixi storage; they count toward your storage.
- You need edit access to the canvas you pick.
- Imports are rate-limited to about 20 a minute.
